"Along weekend to see my son in Cardiff. The hotel is in an excellent location. I have some disabilities which cause me mobility issues. Throughout the stay the staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful absolutely top notch from the cleaner that dropped what he was doing to open doors for me to Sarah serving breakfast, who seeing i was struggling with the breakfast buffet, basically acted as my butler for the meal. "Check in was friendly and professional. Cleanliness was excellent and comfort in room was fantastic. Complementary spa use was a nice extra as well. One comment on the spa was the steam room and sauna weren't particularly hot. Perhaps just personal preference. Also the liner on the spa pool has come loose, feels a bit lumpy under foot."

"Whilst on this occasion things didn’t go as planned, I still couldn’t fault the staff on the way they sorted the issue quickly and generously. It was a trip away for my birthday and everyone went out of their way to make my stay memorable for all the right reasons. "There are a few bad reviews about the condition of the hotel and I think if you are that bothered about some lime scale in the bathroom (which isn’t bad at all and the tiniest amount) some used furniture again not bad at all then it’s not the hotel for you. Even when it’s most likely in better condition than most peoples homes. It was clean, it had great facilities in the room, staff 10/10 and I can’t fault it all specially when it comes down to price. "Even though from the outside, the building looks a bit rough, it is really nice inside! Would book myself again into The Royal without any hesitation should the need arise. Very good quality breakfast, nice rooms. Recommended!"

"stayed here multiple times in mulitple rooms they are all comfy and cozy the beds are soft with mulitple pillows to choose from, the room also has full sky tv ,the restaurant and bar have plenty of choice of food and drink from wines beers ciders , the staff are top quality assisting you in anyway possible and are just a phone call away using the in room phone "
