I find the people to be warm and welcoming. I enjoy this culture, their food and hospitality. We had a spa day, a shopping day, a half day at a temple another half day at the monkey forest, we ate at amazing restaurant. We also took a cooking class

Beware of the monkeys. And street vendors selling grocery store items for a 600% mark-up.

UBUD was more metropolitan and busier than i expected. I wanted a serene countryside but it is definitely a busy city that has been discovered by many people. It is no longer a secret.

Excellent if you love nature and waterfalls. Do get a bike because you are gonna need it to move around
