I absolutely loved this charming historic hotel! The interior is beautiful and I felt safe during my overnight stay. When I arrived, a valet was present in a small lot. I was able to choose a parking space. A very kind and informative man named Michael checked me in at the front desk quickly. He was very pleasant and recommended the Duck tacos for Happy Hour at the restaurant inside that is open to the public and seems very popular. I took the recommendation and the tacos were delicious! I was attending a concert at a venue close by and had immediate response from Lyft for transportation. When I returned to the hotel, the new concierge unlocked the door for me immediately. I remember being told to contact the front desk if I needed anything. This is not a reflection of the hotel when I say that I realized I had been out so late that I would not be in good form to drive at check out time. I decided to call the front desk and ask if I could extend my stay for 1 more night. This is when I discovered there wasn’t a phone in the room. Seemed odd and I kept looking. After tearing the room apart, no phone. I used my cellphone to contact the front desk. My itinerary had a phone number that nobody answered. I had to look up the hotel online to get the number. The concierge answered and I told him what happened and asked about extending my stay. Unfortunately, occupancy was full. He was curt and confirmed there is no phone in the room. I am glad I had a working cell phone!
