Feb 27, 2020Definitely take a day trip to Abu Simbel. Do go on a traditional Felucca ride. Go on the boat for a ride to the Philae temple and also to see the high dam.

"Excellent stay, and very well looked after. We were sceptical having read some reviews, but in comparison to similar stays across the country it is in line with expectations. While the furniture in the bedroom was slightly dated, it was spotless, comfy bed, and excellent shower. Air con was great. ..."

Dec 24, 2019i felt Aswan overall was cleaner and safer than Cairo or Luxor. Stayed just the night after tour to Abu Simbel but would definitely return to see more!

Oct 15, 2019The city is interesting with good archeological sites in the city or nearby, the souc ( open street market) is big, safe and very interesting to visit, if you can stay at the old cataracts hotel or at least visit it.
