Hotel is nicely located, being just 5-10 minutes to Barbican tube station. It was easy to walk into central london too, just head west from the hotel and youll be there within 40 minutes with plenty of dining options on the way.
Only downsides I would say about the hotel is how small the rooms were, really really small. Basically a bed and a shower room with toilet and not much else. It was lucky we figures out how to work the air conditioning as well, as the windows don't open at all - so hope your air con works in the room!
The bed wasn't overly comfy, and cleaning was a paid extra (have never heard of this before, very strange I'm sure the explanation will be to be "eco-friendly" which doesnt really make sense...)
But other than that, decent hotel and close enough to central London and the main areas that it was a good experience. Just dont expect much from the hotel beyond a place to sleep.
