"We didn't realize that it was a ryokan. It was nice to have that style of room with tatami mats, sliding shoji screens etc. It backs onto a river which was nice."

"Simply wow. the room, top notch japanese food, excellent service , the onsen and not forgetting the secluded location all helped to make our stay unforgettable. The perfect way to end our Japanese adventure."

Still offering good experience
"Nice secluded location for winding down. It has Wi-Fi coverage despite the hotels description, just don’t expect fibre speed. Keep the place clean and the bugs won’t bother you too much. Too bad they don’t offer free onsen access at the main hotel nowadays."

Could be much better
"The house itself is beautiful but all around it is extremely badly taking care of. The yard is a mess, the grass high, and just next to some run down green houses. Some kind of a huge computer was making a terrible noise when we arrived, the owner allow us to turned it off thankfully. Could be a ..."

Stay at old Japanese house.
"Due to COVID-19, This hotel(old Japanese house) recommend to use family to avoid risk from that. I think better to stay April , May, Sep and Oct to avoid high temperature and cold temperature."
